What is the duplex gap?

In Germany, transmission frequencies are defined and made available by the Federal Network Agency. Tour guide systems fall within the 800 MHz range allocated for mobile radio and wireless microphones. The majority of the frequencies (downlink and uplink) are allocated to O2, Vodafone and Telekom for the provision of the mobile Internet. Between the downlink and uplink there is the so-called middle gap (duplex gap) of 822 MHz to 832 MHz. All other wireless microphone frequencies are permitted in this gap - in our case guided tours. As a result, a constant range of 10 MHz is available in Germany. 2 MHz from 863 MHz to 865 MHz are intended for use in all EU countries including Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
